Listening to Boxy

Updated: Feb 13, 2020

These are photos from a playtest of our prototype Listening to Boxy. Boxy is a monster who feeds on negative energy and needs to be shown empathy through active listening. Players write negative feelings on paper and feed the papers to Boxy. Then, players draw one of these thoughts and respond to the thoughts empathetically, including the person who put that thought in the box in order to keep anonymity. Players can respond with written sentences, drawings, or magazine cut outs that they tape/glue onto Boxy. Players repeat this until all the negative thoughts have been responded to.
